YOUR PURPOSE


There are few steps to success people take and most of these steps can be wrong if you as an individual do not discover your purpose. Discovering one’s purpose may look difficult, but, it is actually very simple. Your purpose simply, is what you love doing, what you are passionate about, what you do with so much passion without even being paid for it. It is that thing you can’t leave for something else. You are called upon to eat or do something important, and you find yourself not leaving that point you are till what you are doing gets done, that exactly is your purpose.
People sometimes tend to think the white collar job they do is their purpose, it could be, but, most times, it is not. If people’s purposes are tied to their jobs, then why do we have people who multitask? Why do we have bankers, lawyers and other professional workers who have various businesses asides their jobs? Who you are, which is your purpose is not in any way tied to the job you do. Who you are is inside of you, it is that thing you are born to do. What you love doing can’t drain or kill you, once a job drains you, then, it is definitely not your purpose. The simple way to discover it therefore, is to recognize that particular thing you love doing. What you are passionate about, what you cannot leave for something else. Discovering it therefore, is one of your strategies to success.

       There is this short story about a janitor at a fish factory (cold room), you know most of the times, people might just walk into a company or an establishment without reckoning the security personnel on duty, but, this story actually shook me, so to say. There was this lady who works in a cold room, any time she resumes duty in the morning, she greets the janitor, and, when she is about leaving, she does the same thing.  She does this virtually every day. Being the only worker who actually reckons with the janitor, it makes the janitor feel human as well, he feels valued as a human. So, there was this day she resumed duty, she did the same thing, made the janitor feel that same importance he had always felt, but, there was something unusual about that particular day; there was no one to say good night to him at 6 pm. A PIECE OF ADVICE TO SINGLE PEOPLE

There are so many single persons out there who believe it is, or, it might be over for them already. Being single is not and never plagues that the society has made it look like. A question I would like to ask you as a single person is, while you are single, what are you doing? Are you just waiting with no angle to be aligned to? The description of a waiter I will make will simply be that of eateries. Waiters and waitresses at eateries. Waiters at eateries and bars basically wait to serve customers, they don’t just wait for nothing, and they serve real packages to customers. Now, the point I am driving at is, while you wait, serve. Don’t wait for nothing, you have to be in a position to be found, you need to be met halfway.  Be in alignment as you serve. As a waiter never serves customers unreal packages, as a single that is waiting as well, be real; don’t be an unreal package. Something to hold onto as the year begins.

       The year 2020 has come to an end, and, every one of us knows where we are today against all odds. If not for anything, we thank God for life. We do not know what 2021 has in stock for us all, we all just hope for the best, but, as we hope for the best, are we working towards being the best? We all don't need to become the best in a day, but, do we have plans ahead of us? Truly, we planned for so many things in 2020, and, probably, if not all, just a few of this plan of ours came to the fore. It was even during the ups and downs of 2020 that some people realized they have opportunities in them that they never knew.      There's so much to achieve when we plan and set a goal.
